That crappy Rt/*Martial Class* Gimmick no doubt.
The only *true* reason I would go /P is really for "Fall Back!".

You wouldn't be referring to Sprit's Strength builds, would you? True, it's gimmicky, but just because it uses different skills than 99% of people on this board doesn't mean it sucks. Spears are ranged, so you're really not in that much danger.
SS Paragons sucking? For shame.

No doubt in my mind that they're [skill]Spirit's Strengh[/skill].
It's an alternative to the usual style of play, and gives Spawning a reason to live.
Definitely for shits and giggles.

You can actually get some majorly impressive DPS out of a spirit's strength guy. The last time I checked it, I hit 90-100ish with a spirit's strength spear guy. Add in range and immunity to blind, and it's really not a bad build.
Besides, there's nothing more fun than out-DPSing the mending wammos in your PuG.

I prefer running Ancestor's Rage, Splinter Weapon and throwing it on Warriors, Dervs or 'Sins.
Besides, haven't seen a single Spirit's Strength Ritualist for...hmm, I can't even tell, and I don't see any better effect from bringing that actual class the Spirit's Strength Ritualist anyway.

Just take a Resto rit with [skill=text]signet of synergy[/skill] and [skill=text]song of restoration[/skill]
You now have an effective Rt/P

Song of Resto just isn't that good anymore now PWK is on a 15 second recharge. 40/40 resto set + E management (elite or otherwise) is the business for party healing these days.
Chucking spears can be fun though . Gives you an excuse ot use some of the more obscure Weapon Spells (Brutal, Sundering, Dare i say it... Fury).

I fooled around on my pve rit before I deleted her into a PvP only rit and ran a splinter weapon spear chucker. was actually kind of fun.
Have seen Trub from SMS run a Splinter Weapon/Barrager on her rit numerous times.

Barbed Spear
Holy Spear (vs minon masters)
Merciless Spear
Spirit Light Weapon
Weapon of Warding
Wielders Boon
Life
Rejevantaion
Was good fun over the AB weekend, could deffo be improved and tbh, isnt much more than a fun build. Have fun ^^

A good Spirit's Strength Ritualist can stand competitively against the average physical class.
That said, if you run up against a good player, say a Paragon against your Rt/P and he knows what he's doing... you're in trouble. Same goes for melee and running up against, say, a Shock Axe. Going to hurt you pretty badly.
I'm not hating on the Ritualist. I love the class. Spirit's Strength is also pretty fun. But it's a simple fact I've observed that Spirit's Strength doesn't do very happily in PvP against a good enemy. The average enemy, yes, Spirit's Strength beats the average enemy in low to middle end PvP. Basically you'll be able to perform competitively in RA, AB, etc. But you will run into people who'll completely wipe the floor with you.
In PvE you can get away with anything; go for it.

Using Spirit's Strength with a spear counters a lot of melee in hard mode. I run it with Sab's build to vanquish. (Spirit Spamming is boring)

That build is awesome. I saw someone post it before once and I used it on a PvP rit in AB. I used Signet of Synergy as well, and it sparked my interest in rit healing.
I'd definitely recommend going /P for Song of Restoration and Signet of Synergy for anyone wanting to try a resto rit. SoR's much better than the resto elites for PvE.

using
[skill]weapon of aggression[/skill]
[skill]spirit's strength[/skill]
[skill]ancestor's rage[/skill]
[skill]blazing spear[/skill]
[skill]disrupting throw[/skill]
[skill]holy spear[/skill]
[skill]wild throw[/skill]
[skill]spear of redemption[/skill]
I love it - high damage, fast attacks. granted, it's mission a lot of pve skills that can make it better, but I'm not that far into eye of the north yet.
